Give every packaging layer a purpose
List each layer a customer removes and the job it performs. A shipping box may protect a product, an insert may hold it still, and a printed card may explain how to use it. If two layers perform the same job, ask whether one could be simplified. Confirm protection through samples and suitable testing before removing anything.
Put your brand where it helps
Brand recognition does not require printing every surface. Consider a focused color palette, one useful message and a consistent opening sequence. Keep important product information easy to find. Make sure decorative finishes do not obscure instructions or complicate handling.
Test the experience with a real product
Pack and unpack the product yourself. Notice whether it shifts, whether the customer can remove it comfortably and whether any parts are difficult to separate. Ask your supplier about alternative structures or inserts if the presentation looks good but handling feels awkward.
